I don't think it's possible to do what you want here. But if it is,
*I'd* certainly like to know about it!

Another "you probably can't do that" request: Is there any way to make
Photoshop give me *fewer* file format options in the SAVE dialog? 
I am probably never going to use PCX, PXR, Portable Bitmap, Scitex,
Targa, or Large Document Format.
