MItch - well my young friend, Renzo, did not show up today. Last time I talked to him he was waiting for UPS to deliver his laptop (shipped from overseas)
HE is eager and bright and helpful when he is here, but isn't so good at letting someone know that he can't show up. HE got a windoze 98Sse cd , he told me, when we spoke this afternoon -- I just asked him to give me a buzz when he was on his way to my apt. I can't yell at him too easily because he is the roomy/fiance of my best friends daughter... and doing all this stuff for me totally free. As I a result I got some more sleep today, but little annoys me quite as much as people who say they are going to do something and can't at least say they can't get to it. I wouldn't mind quite so much if HE hadn't been the one to say he really wanted to do it today. sigh. I could have gone and gotten the disk from him, too.... though I preferred to have someone here for the possible struggle. Another resource is out of town... Yet another is a guy I worked with many years ago when I was his techno idol of sorts in the market research software stuff. it is all flipped now. I wish I could buy memory for my brain on the web! ann Mitch Conant wrote: > > Ann: > > Good choice on the DELL.
