The Sony R1 and Canon 10D have a button for ISO. Press the button and
dial up the desired ISO with one of the thumbwheels. No mode selector
change and no menu.

The Konica Minolta A2 has a second function selector wheel, separate
from the exposure mode selector, with a button in the middle. Set the
function selector to ISO, press the button in the middle, and one of
the thumbwheels will tweak the ISO setting.

Both of the above solutions work well but involve yet more buttons
and wheels to operate. I am perfectly comfortable with the Fn menu
ISO setting method of the DS. The D setup is much more awkward.
