He does indicate elsewhere that the K10D will be faster than the K100D, 
due to the higher voltage batteries. What this seems to indicate is that 
SSM will be as fast as the already improved K10D AF.

And note that this would be in comparison to the K100D, which has faster 
AF than the *ist's.
