Tim, I agree that is takes two people to have an argument. However, it is hard for people to have self control and continue to read endless nonsense being throw onto the list without wanting to fight back. Just look at the threads that have exploded in recent days. One person after another make a run at someone who cannot accept an opposing opinion. Soon there are 1000 messages filled with cursing and rage. This leads to people leaving the group because they do not want to put up with the bickering. How many people have stopped posting because of the current atmosphere?
The point of filtering out someone's email is not to kill free speech. It is to remove unnecessary distractions from the content provided by others that have something to contribute. Like the TV analogy. When it is showing something you do not want to see; you turn to a different channel (or you turn it off). In other words, you might have the freedom to speak, but no one has to listen. As for filtering out your email: I am sure if you start behaving like the person I am blocking there will be many people adding your name to their kill file. Perry.
