Pentax never said that they were the dominant player in the medical field. They are saying that their medical biz is small, only 30% of total, but has been profitable and wanted to see it grow. That's where the interest by Hoya/Pentax met. I think I saw somewhere that Oly's share in this area is indeed dominant, something like 70%.
