I'm of the opinion that the doctors call it that when they can't come up with some other convenient and plausible cause. > She was never a smoker. My mother died of complications of cirrhosis of the liver, and she was not a heavy drinker. "Light social" is more like it. So, the doctors called it "Non-alcoholic cirrhosis."
