How long does it take you to set it up? How big is it > when it's packed? The 8 man tent is in a pack about 1 foot in diameter by about 3 feet. It weighs some 35 pounds, so it is definitely a drive it to where you will be using it kind of tent. It is best set up by 2 people (I'm not sure one pserson could set it up, actually), my wife and I were able to set it up in about 20 minutes. The nice thing about it is that it is 6'6' tall at the peak. The 6 person tent is probably the better compromise overall for a robust family tent.
