The FA35/2 AL is a different, and better, optical formula than the older 35/2. That's not to say that the M/A35/2 is a poor performer or that the A35/2 that's for sale is not a good lens. I don't give a damn what the M42, M or K series lenses feel like. They're irrelevant to my needs, and I prefer the better PERFORMING lenses anyway.
