I used to run a small desktop PC as a server in my garage until, during winter last year, it started crashing intermittently a couple of times a week. Sometimes it crashed so badly that it needed a BIOS reset. It turns out that the machine is rated to a minimum ambient temperature of 10deg C so I believe the cold mornings may have been an issue for it. I replaced the computer and modified the cupboard so that the warm exhaust recirculates within the cupboard, and installed a temperature- controlled fan to draw in outside air as necessary. I also applied some basic thermal insulation. Seems to be working OK now, even during summer... not that it's been particularly hot or anything. - Dave -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
