This is going to make me look even more like an idiot than I already do, but I have to apologize. After looking through some Malamute related web sites, I realized that I didn't have a malamute. I had a Siberian Husky. Doh! Even without looking at the photos, the temperament descriptions match my dog perfectly. Wonderful breed, btw.
