In the middle of October I went to local camera stores and asked for a price on some lenses. I was told they would have to get back to me and took my phone number. I have still not heard from them.
I waited and then figured maybe the lenses are not in stock so I e mailed Kennedys about the smc PENTAX-FA 50mm F1.4. They replied on 13-11-6 and told me it was in stock and asked me which retailer to send it to. I didn't want to reward any of those who did not quote before and I wanted an idea of how much it would cost. So I asked three stores near where my lover works for a price. And I have not heard from them re the price either. Then I called into another camera shop on my way past on spec and was actually quoted a price. I ordered the lens though them and paid a deposit on 22-11-6. They expected availability on 10-12-6. It did not arrive as expected so I asked Kennedys and they told me a shipment was due in before xmas and they 'will do our best to get it to them before Xmas '. Around xmas, I'm in trouble because my lover could not give me the lens for xmas. But the shop did advise me they expected the lens in the middle of January. Around the middle of January, I'm in the shit because my lover could not give me the lens for your anniversary and she knows I could have got the lens from B&H by now. On 31-1-7 Kennedys advised me that a shipment is arriving in a couple of weeks. The shop tells me six days. Not being overly optimistic I waited until today to ring the shop. The person that answered the phone could not check the status of my order, nor were they allowed to transfer my call to someone who could. I'm not happy. Four months.
