Is your E-10 really obsolete? Isn't it still being supported. It still
functions to its specifications. It has been passed by the E-20 but it is
still a useful camera.
I have a Coolpix 950 and am happy with its 2.? megapixel specification. I
could go out and get the 990 (no longer in poduction), 995, 800, 880, 775,
etc., etc., etc. But for what I want - up to now - for a non-replaceable
lens digital camera it is fine. I am looking forward to the Pentax
offering. I should soon have access to both a D1X and D1H at work, and will
play with those.
Until I go with a digital SLR I use my digital for snapshots and basically
email the images to people, use them on the web, or if asked, have 4x5
prints made. The fact that I can do this with the 950 (and it is still
being produced!) keeps me from even considering the latest and greatest. I
think the same will occur if I ever get a digital SLR. I cannot recall the
last time I had anything larger than an 8x10 print made. If the MZ-D (?)
fits this criteria then it is all I will need, even if there are larger
megapixel sensors that come along.
Spotmatics are obsolete, but still produce
;-)
