FYI, Just got this split image RF screen for my istDS ( should work in any of the istD series cameras ) :
http://preview.tinyurl.com/yu25dy works fine, nice clear split image and a large microprism surround. I dont think you can get this from Pentax (yet?). Works easily to F4 on any lens I tried and still very usable to F5.6 on some lenses. Focus seems as accurate as the original screen based on my tests. Recommended, and it's cheap for the vast improvement it makes IMHO.
