Well no.
Think pre AI lenses, which are pretty much unusable unless they have been
modified to AI, which Nikon no longer does.
They got around this somewhat with the D40, but this camera is really 
crippled with all but a couple of lens series.
Nikon is still a hodge podge of non-compatability.
