Who knows.

I'm just really really mad at this printer right now.

who needed to make like three prints for his daughter for a homework
assignment on the first day of school and failed miserably.

============
I had a 925 for years, mine apparently clogged less than many others' do. It
helps (almost required) to print a print at least once a month. I liked mine
a lot and recently sold it on ebay (well about 4-5 months ago).

The person who bought it from me was so worried it would arrive to him
completely clogged and unusable, that I promised I would make sure it wasn't
before I sent it. I had been sitting around for about 5-6 months since I
bought my
Epson R1800 (which I really love, more than I really liked my 925), so he
was right to worry. But since I had had no major problems with the printer, I
plowed forward.

I thought I'd be able to clear the heads (head cleaning, then nozzle check)
in about 4-5 tries. It took me closer to 10 tries (almost despairing near the
end that it wasn't going to work), then it was fine. I kept at it because I
really had had no major problems with it and it was a sturdy printer.

Now I try to use my Epson R1800 on a regular basis, much more regularly than
I used the 925. I also don't turn it off except when I rarely turn my
computer off. It runs a head charging that uses ink every time it is powered
up.
Not turning it off has seemed to help a lot.

Marnie aka Doe :-) BTW, the buyer was totally pleased.
