It has no extreme film properties, if you need to prevent rubbing or rolling contact, but sliding is not bad, if you keep the film moist. It WILL "dry out" which means the volatile carrier eventually goes evaporates, leaving a waxy, sticky, varnish-y residue, which has practically no advantageous properties except to stick things together. LONG time users who swear to using nothing but WD-40 exclusively finally admit to re-spraying their "protected" parts frequently, to maintain whatever protection they claim works for them. Used that way, it works. Sort of... Of course, used that way, it also keeps the environmental moisture away, and "works as advertised!" Don't count on it as a universal butt-saving, all purpose cleaner & lube, and you'll probably be happy with it. keith whaley -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
