Most of the people you meet in LA aren't even from LA. I worked there for a couple of months a year for twenty years or so. Enjoyed it much. Made many friends. It's like everywhere else: There's good and there's bad. I'm now quite concerned about some of my friends who live in the canyons north of LA. Haven't been able to reach them.
