Hello list.

I have a Pentax K10D camera and have M and A Takumars. The difference
between the two is with A ones I can set the aperture on the camera while
on the M ones I can set it only on the lens. There's no real problem with
this since I prefer to set it on the lens :D as I got used to it with my
Praktica MTL-5 :D

But a few days ago I borrowed a few lens to a friend of mine, who has
Pentax K100D Super and also his girlfriend has a PK100DS too. None of the
M lenses really worked on their camera, since the aperture did not close.
The A lens in A mode and aperture set on the camera closed well but as
soon they set the aperture on the lens the aperture stayed wide open.

My question is did anyone faced the same problem? I think it's a software
based limitation on the Pentax K100D Super rather than mechanical. Is
there any firmware that will support M lenses on PK100DS too, not just on
PK10D?

Thanks in advance,
.timber
