I currently have an aluminum Manfrotto 3021 and a carbon fiber Gitzo Mountaineer 1227 (I think).
The Aluminum tripod is a bit big and heavy for lugging around the mountains and the Gitzo CF isn't sturdy enough to yield sharp shots with my 300 (especially when using a teleconverter). Also, the twist-lock legs and some other atrributes of the Gitzo are a right PITA. Anyone got recommendations for a good carbon fiber 'pod with sturdiness comparable to my aluminum 3021? -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
