Pentax have suggested that some future DA* lenses might not be
dual-drive.  That leaves the door open for them to switch to
ring motors for at least some lenses.

My bet is that it won't happen for a couple of years, though.
And when it does happen, people will be able to whine about
missing AF capability with their K100D, as well as about the
missing aperture simulator on the K9D ...
