Paul, I am also using the Sandisk Extreme reader (model #SDDRX3-3INI if my eyes are reading the very small print correctly). It supports SDHC, and is both reliable and easy on the cards. I do occassionally have to wiggle a card to get it to read, so it isn't perfect.
