Then perhaps it is simply a matter of the different masses of
different lenses, different materials used in the construction
of the lenses, or maybe the size (length or diameter, or both)
that either damps the shutter vibrations in the camera or,
perhaps, causes some resonance effects that modifies the shutter
sound.

I don't have an LX to test these thoughts but, maybe you could
check one or more of your other camera systems to see if a
similar thing happens.  I'm sure some of us would be interested
in finding out.

It's tough to determine the cause without more data.
