My problem with my Pentax AF-360GZ, was as you mentioned that the hot shoe is broke. Do u think it is worth to fix it? The flash itself did not drop.

The hot shoe locking mechanism is a bit fragile, but ti's okay if you're careful. I've used the Sigma EF 500 Super as well, and the Pentax is much more accurate in terms of exposure.
