My problem with my Pentax AF-360GZ, was as you mentioned that the hot shoe is 
broke.
Do u think it is worth to fix it? The flash itself did not drop.

The 540 is superb in terms of consistent exposures and overall  
performance. The hot shoe locking mechanism is a bit fragile, but  
ti's okay if you're careful. I've used the Sigma EF 500 Super as  
well, and the Pentax is much more accurate in terms of exposure.
