I was considering situations where that risk had already been 
addressed (shooting with a long lens from a direction they're 
not paying attention to -- such as from a 3rd-floor window).

So my concerns are for post-publication fallout if they do see
it on the web.

(And as for the non-lawyerly danger, I'm more worried about a
firebombing than a beating.  I think petty vandalism is more
likely thn either, but I haven't forgotten the family that 
burned to death in another part of the city a few years ago
after drug dealers objected to their attempts to help the 
police make their block a safe place to raise kids.  I'm hoping 
that riders of illegal dirt bikes are not as motivated as drug 
dealers.)
