thanks, the brigtness is not an issue, I am buying a third
party split screen and wont be using the in-camera metering
anyway. ( shoot and tweak exposure via lcd method).  I just
wanted to make sure screens advertised for the K10D and K20D
will fit properly.

Yes, they are. But they differ in brightness and can affect metering.
