That's a teaching or learning issue in my opinion. Having been to  
several workshops in recent weeks, it shocks me how poorly some very  
knowledgeable and experienced photographers are at presenting, at  
articulating what they know and do correctly. Most are simply not  
very good at it. People trying to learn the material are often  
confused by what they hear ... and for good reason.
