I've told this before but I can't find it in the archives (suspect it is in the hiatus between hosts) and it probably bears repeating. Every year, a group of Boy Scouts meet to camp and play around for a week in what passes for the great outdoors in the UK. One year, we decided to try fire-eating. Mouthful of paraffin (kerosene), a lighted branch in one hand, blow and you get a satisfactory flame. After a while, I decided to try to get a picture of someone doing it, which coincided with the someone trying it for the first time. The mouthful of paraffin, blow, light went quite well. But he had taken a big mouthful and was now blowing really hard as he realised he didn't quite know how to _stop_. As his eyes began to bulge, he started to move backwards, away from the flame that was now creeping down the spout of vapour towards his face. The walk became a trot and then a backwards gallop until his heels contacted a well-placed log and he slammed onto his back, producing a final, vesuvial belch of flame. The final insult was that he had swallowed some paraffin and spent the next 24 hours belching with a noise like a goat every 30 seconds. ----------------------------------------- Email sent from www.virginmedia.com/email Virus-checked using McAfee(R) Software and scanned for spam -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
