Har!! I don't take my laptop any farther into the field than I have to. I'll 
take it as far as the picnic table at the campsite, or into the studio for 
product shots.
Other than that, my wife uses it, and a small tablet, to play Mah Jong.
And I use it when my ever problematic desktop computer goes into the shop...
