I did a shoot for a limo company yesterday. It was a ball buster and
a back breaker. To maneuver in a stretch limo you have to walk bent
over with your nose to the ground. I shot four stretch interiors and
a bunch of buses. I used the K20D and the DA 12-24 at 12 mm for all
shots. I mounted the camera on my small Slik graphite tripod, which
made things somewhat manageable. I figured the only good way to light
these things was with their own interior lights, but it had to be
done in the dark. Luckily, the company has a huge garage, so I had
them pull each vehicle inside. I shot manual focus at a hyperfocal
setting -- about three feet for the stretch limos and seven feet for
the buses. The exposure on this shot is f7.1, 4 seconds, ISO 500.
It's a stretch Lincoln limo. The passenger cabin is about 12 feet
long. I also shot a stretch Hummer that's 25 feet long, nose to tail.
