Hi,

Mine does not do this. It snaps the shutter and then winds, on both an
ME and 2 different Super Programs. The shutter lag on the Super
Programs is about the same either way, but it does increase slightly
with the ME, which has the shortest lag of any slr I've ever used
anyway. Also, with street photography,it is possible to fire the camera
with the camera's shutter release, and while walking away, press the
winder release, which will wind the film and cock the shutter, ready for
the next shot. Not as convenient as the MX winder, but quite useable.

Perhaps you have an original ME winder? ....or Pentax changed the specs
on the MEII winder at some point?

Thanks,

William in Utah.
