Thanks Shel and Gianfranco. THis one screen is so bad that I wouldn't mind trying things on it, It will need to be replaced anyway. I think it's even scratched.
There's a photo swap meet near here the first weekend of January, I'll look for an LX screen there. In the meantime, I'll try some things on this one...
