I fly frequently, and I always take my cameras and a load of film. I've been using lead bags for 25 years and have never had a problem. I frequently include a few rolls of T-Max 3200. The bag is always run through the carry on x-ray. I've never seen a touch of fogging. And when I've had an opportunity to see the screen image, the lead bag is always totally opaque.
