While it might make sense to target this market segment, I am not sure
that Pentax has. The announcement said that the white DSLR would be
produced in limited quantitites. That makes it sound like it is meant to
be a collectors' item, like the various gold-tinted cameras that Pentax
releases now and then in limited numbers.
Or perhaps Pentax is using this camera for test marketing. If it sells,
more will follow.
