Pictures of the damage http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/sets/72157615629173367/
To add insult to injury, the pictures I was taking didn't even turn out very well: before drop: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/sets/72157615707488392/ after drop: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/sets/72157615707879552/ I didn't really expect them to. I have found shooting against an overcast sky to be nearly impossible. Too much backlight for the subject lighting. A photoshop wizard might be able to put the sky in it's own layer and have it get processed differently than the bird. -- The fastest way to get your question answered on the net is to post the wrong answer.
