Ghost. It seems to be the month for unexpected flying objects. First the Red Tail Hawk surprised the c*** out of me, then this. I was taking a walk on the shore of New Haven Harbor, pretty much under the flight path from Tweed NH Airport when I heard the unmistakable sound of a very heavy multi engine piston powered aircraft. I looked up and my first thought damn that looks like a B17! I managed one shot before it was too far away for the rig I had. This is about the center 1/3 of the frame, reduced to 800:534 px. I wasn't even sure of my identification until I was examining my shots earlier this evening. There are what, maybe half a dozen of these still flying anywhere in the world?

Equipment: Pentax K20D w/smc Pentax FA 28-200mm f3.8~5,6

Notes: Once again the subject matter trumps the technical quality of the shot. At least I'm going to keep telling myself that.

fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a
free man any more than a dog.
