However in a lot of the examples the issue is hard to see even in the enhanced images. Under normal circumstances with a good exposure, not trying every Photoshop trick to wring a bit more shadow detail out of an image, you might never see this.
P.J. - It is a fiarly subtle problem, and I do wonder if it would show up in prints. On the other hand - knowing it's there will drive me crazy.
