I'm not used to taking such photo essays, I usually take 'em "one at a
time", so this is kind of new for me. I'm not particularly happy
with these as a whole (although I'm satisfied with some of them
individually). I think I've learned a fair bit about how I might
approach this differently the next time a similar opportunity arises.
Near as I can figure this guy made an inadvertant turn (due to a stuck
switch - they're always sticking as they get gummed up with all sorts
of detritus) and he jumped the track as he backed up to get back
behind the switch so he could manually move it and go straight.
Therefore it was a very slow-motion sort of thing. I don't think
anyone got hurt - certainly no ambulances at the scene by the time I
got there.
