It strikes me as a very well composed image and I appreciate it for
that and all the reasons mentioned. It's the image, as a whole, that
doesn't inspire or move me, possibly the subject matter and all the
grays/blacks leave me feeling empty.  Not a criticism, just my
observations.  If I imagine the ship as bright red, I start to have a
different feeling.
