It's not that out of line for an indoor-only moggy. Pure bred animals tend not to live as long, and being and outdoor kitty definitely reduces average life span, for city kitties, anyway. I've had one live to nearly 20, another to 17 and a bit, and I've got two 12-year-olds in the house now.
