Old enlargers can make great copystands. I recall my Minox Enlarger II had a bracket accessory that was specifically designed to allow you to reverse the head and use the Minox camera on it this way. > It would probably be pretty easy to make a slide copier by taking the head > from the enlarger and turning it upside down on the baseboard and using that > as the transilluminator. Mm, not really. It's way too bright, number one, and unless it's a diffuser type it will not work particularly well. Also, all that heat will be come up through the optical system and into the slide or negative. There's also the question of how to mount it. A standard or flat panel light box does an excellent job. The flat panel light box runs very cool and leaves plenty of room for manipulating the camera, lens and film. -- Godfrey godfreydigiorgi.posterous.com -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
