Frank, i never had the *ist D, what i had was the K10D and i was a
little nervous about the viewfinder when i got the K-x about a month
ago. but there was no need really. in practical use, i don't see much
difference and have been using some manual focus lenses (k30/2.8,
m135/3.5) without any problems. it's a nice little camera (have you
heard that before? :)) and for my purposes it's so much better than the
k10d...
