these days? markets have worked this way for millennia; i know for some
people making an offer as a one-on-one non-impersonal interaction is
discomforting; for me i find overcoming that discomfort is what makes me

The only discomfort I've discovered is some people behave rudely if they
think your offer is too low. If you have a minimum in mind, you should
express that politely.
so i don't have a problem with it -- it's better to make an offer here
than on that liar's den, eBay
