I will be surprised if Pentax goes to a FF sensor any time soon. It just doesn't make sense economically or in light of the lens lineup. However, I think we'll eventually see APS-C cameras at around 18 megapixels with good low-noise capability. It wasn't that long ago that people were saying 12 megapixels was impossible on that small a sensor. In the end, size may not matter as much as some think.
Look into a 7D. I have a friend who shots with one, and what he is getting at 3200 is about what I get at 800 with my K7.
