I have an Epson 2100 (known in the US as the 2200) which I think is the
predecessor of the R2400.

I think it took me about two years to fill the waste ink pads and I was not a
particularly heavy user. I hope the 2400 provides better access to the pads.
I had to download the service manual for the 2100 and do quite a lot of
disassembly. I'm a real tinkerer (engineer by training) but I don't want to
have to do that again.

On mine you can reset the counter using the front-panel buttons. I don't
remember the sequence but I have it stashed away in a filing cabinet somewhere.

I really need to use my printer more. It tends to sit idle for long periods
and I have a terrible time cleaning the heads as a result. Back when I used it
more I found that doing one 8x10" print a week was enough to keep it running
well.

Cheers,
Dave
