I'll agree with you. I think it's unlikely a thief would have provided the serial numbers. OTOH not providing them would give evidence the person was a thief... catch 22.
But - On the other hand let's suppose that the camera walked itself out the back door of a camera shop in the hands of an unscrupulous employee or someone who gained entrance to the backroom. Then one could certainly expect the original boxes, packing, etc., to still be with the item. Don't take me wrong, I haven't been trying to *say* it was stolen, even though I know it looks like I have been. I've been pondering the deal and things don't add up. It's a fantastic deal. I would have bought it. I'm still puzzled at the sellers reasoning.
