Not quite.
Their return policy definitely states that items that have been damaged through customer use or abuse do not qualify for return.

The question seems to be does spilling a drink on a non waterproof camera consitute customer abuse.

Iā€™d say yes it did. Abnormal use = abuse. I seriously doubt that camera designers factor in an alcoholic drink being spilled onto their non-waterproof body, and would certify normal performance thereafter.

Answer that and you have answered if the return policy was followed.
