Hi Cotty
According to what I've learned from Pentax/Scandinavia
- the first number is for the factory that built the LX
- the second is for the year is was built (0 = 1990,1 = 1991, 2 = 1992 etc)
They started with this type of numbers in 1990. Before that batchnumbers
were put on some more interior part of the cameras.
- the third position is for the month it was built (1,2,3,.. 0,x,y,z)
- the forth number is the week
- the last two have something to do with type variations. The pentax people
were not very clear about that.
Does that make sense?

>Does anyone reading this know how to interpret the numbers in the film
>chamber of an LX??

>>In my camera, it's on the form:
>> nnXnnn.
>>n = numbers,
>>X= letter.
