Expanding on this a little, Lightroom is implemented on top of an SQLlite database, that's what the .LRCAT file is. Lr has the limitation in that the application cannot access the .LRCAT file on a network-mounted volume: that must be on a locally connected volume. The image files referenced in the catalog at can be on any mounted volume, local or network, on-line or off-line. (When the files are on a volume which is off-line, Slide Show, Develop, Print and Web module operations are restricted.) -- Godfrey godfreydigiorgi.posterous.com -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
