A few of us own it and love it. Do a search for old PDML posts and you should find a number of threads dealing with this lens. I've written about my experience a number of times so I'm not going to repeat myself. I'll just say it's my go-to zoom. I'm not really a wide guy, so 28mm on APS-C is just fine for me but others (as Charles said) do need a wide end.
